Chabad Launches Torah Studies Course

New Semester Explores Judaism’s Relevance in Modern Life

Chabad House Lubavitch of  CNY’s Jewish Learning Institute (JLI) will launch the third season of its Torah Studies course in the beginning of May 2012.. Classes will be held at the JCC 5655 Thompson Rd., beginning May 2, 7:00 – 8:00 pm, and continue for twelve consecutive Wednesday evenings, (except for June 6 &13). Like all JLI’s courses, this latest adult education offering is designed for people at all levels of Jewish knowledge. Each Class is a new topic.

Interested students are welcome to attend their first session free, without obligation to continue. The fee for the entire course is $60, which includes the course textbook. Chabad’s popular  Wednesday Nights  “Living Torah” Video presentations will continue weekly at 8:05PM followed by the weekly “Pirkei Avot “Jewish Wisdom from the Ages  class  and the “In the Garden of the Torah classs at 8:30PM at the JCC.
